PowerPlus Energy Hosts Latin American Ambassador Delegation at Factory

PowerPlus Energy recently welcomed a delegation of Latin American Ambassadors and Representatives to its manufacturing facility in Victoria. Strengthening international ties and showcasing Australian excellence in manufacturing energy storage solutions.

The visit, organised in collaboration with Global Victoria and the Australian Latin American Business Council (ALABC), is the latest development in a growing relationship that began over a year ago. Since engaging with Global Victoria during a visit from Minnesota representatives, PowerPlus Energy has been involved in several opportunities, with this recent visit displaying the promise this partnership with Global Victoria holds.

The delegation included Ambassadors and Representatives from Latin American countries including Peru, Ecuador, Cuba, Brazil, El Salvador, Paraguay, Guatemala, and Chile all with a keen interest to learn about Victorian technologies related to clean energy and the energy storage sector. PowerPlus Energy’s CEO, Bradley Paton, Executive Chairman, Ben Spincer, and General Manager, Shane Pollard, guided the visitors through the company’s operations, from research and development to engineering and manufacturing.

The visit provided a platform to highlight the growing capabilities of Australian battery manufacturing and its critical role in advancing the renewables industry, both domestically and on the global stage. PowerPlus Energy is eager to continue building on these relationships, leveraging shared expertise to further the clean energy manufacturing field.

“We were honoured to host the Latin American delegation and proud to showcase the innovation and dedication of our team,” said Shane Pollard. “Seeing our staff connect with our guests on a personal level was especially rewarding. Diversity is a key part of our workforce and culture, and we strive to maintain an inclusive environment. Claudia (pictured below), one of our manufacturing team members from Peru, was particularly delighted to speak with the Ambassador of Peru, H.E. Vitaliano Gallardo.”

Ben Spincer, Executive Chairman, added, “Agriculture and mining are prominent industries in Latin American countries, much like Australia. This visit provided an excellent opportunity for PowerPlus Energy to exchange insights on technologies and supporting the renewed focus on clean energy for these countries.”

The delegation’s visit to PowerPlus Energy was one of four stops in Victoria, where they were able to witness first-hand the company’s commitment and expertise in the renewables sector. PowerPlus Energy looks forward to continuing its collaboration with Global Victoria and the Latin American business community to aid in driving sustainable energy solutions for the global market.
