Australian Excellence on Show at the Smart Energy

The Smart Energy Conference in Sydney is always a great reminder of why we do what we do. With thousands of attendees and some of the brightest minds in the industry all under one roof, this year’s event was the perfect platform to share what’s new, what matters, and what’s next for Australian energy solutions.

We were proud to showcase Whispr-7, our new residential all-in-one BESS, designed with installers in mind—simple to install.

“It was great to see strong interest for a product needed in the market from a reputable brand known for quality and reliability—a brand installers know and already trust.” Said Rick McKenzie, Sales Manager.

With potential rebates in the wind, Whispr-7 offers a timely solution that delivers on both installer simplicity and homeowner affordability, while also providing ongoing, local Australian support from real experts—support that continues long after the system is switched on. We’ve already had a wave of expressions of interest, and we’re excited about what’s to come.

You can still register your expressions of interest here.

New South Wales Based BDM, Yahan Tang added “With Sydney being such a built-up area, people are looking for smarter ways to take control of their energy without needing big changes to their home or lifestyle. There’s a real appetite here in NSW for practical, Australian solutions—and it’s exciting to be adding the Whispr-7 to that.”

Our Escape range, as always, drew strong interest from those seeking an Australian-made off-grid or grid-connect solution, built to adapt to changing needs over time. Its ongoing popularity is clear, with 12 units currently being built and tested at our Melbourne, factory for seven different projects this month alone.

Beyond the Booth

Our Head of Projects and Technical Manager, Simon Ceglinski, contributed his expertise in multiple sessions across the two days. He delivered a CPD-accredited presentation, ‘Leadership in the Workplace and Selling Based on Quality Workmanship and Products,’ giving practical insight into how real leadership and technical excellence go hand-in-hand.

Simon also participated in two additional sessions:

Post-Sale Support That Works: Straight Talk from Industry Leaders – an honest panel discussion alongside Selectronic, Enphase and Fronius, highlighting the critical role of genuine after-sales support, transparency, and trust, especially in a market crowded with short-term players.

Made In Australia: Making it Real – a topic especially close to our hearts. As a proudly Australian manufacturer, it was a chance to speak about what “local” really means. It’s about local jobs, engineering know-how, and building technology that understands and supports Australian homes and businesses.

While the team left the event tired the conversations, feedback, and the passion for better, smarter, locally supported energy solutions only encourages PowerPlus Energy’s positive journey for 2025. To everyone who stopped by, asked questions, or shared their story—thank you.

See you at the next one.
